Although we know drinking adequate amount of water is good for our body, Over 70% of our body contains water and its kindly difficult to survive a single day without water. Our mind growth, digestions and all other systems depend on water, According to doctors, we must drink 3-4 litres of water per day that counts to be as 8glass of water. But the question is have you ever thought what if we drink or consume too much of water, what will happen to our body?
Yes while, reading the title you must be curious to know about it, As we know excess of everything is harm just like that, having too much of water is too harmful and it is so dangerous that it may take one's life.
So what would happen when we start drinking too much water?
1. Drinking too much water will make our body over hydrated & that leads the sodium and salt level in our body severe at low and it may cause seizures, coma or even death.
Symptoms:- headache, vomiting, confusion.
2. Due to decrease of sodium level, our brain neurones and cell get affect & cause swelling on it and it may also cause brain dead.
Basically, these symptoms occur on athletes or soldiers due to intake of heavy amount of water in a few hours. It was reported that three soldiers died due to intake of high amount of water because of oral hydration.
So the question that comes after reading about the consequences is.
How much water is sufficient for the day?
Intake of water varies in men and women. Where men generally need 3.7 litres of water in a day, a women body need 2.7 litres and it also varies with body weight, height and physical activities. If you are doing hard work or you are an athlete, you need more water then the rest of others. So athletes are been prescribed for glucose water rather than warm water. Because the intake of excess water in less time may be harmful to their body.
Now you must know,
The basic rule for drinking water is....
1. We should start our morning with two glass of water. Because it helps to remove the waste, toxic & clean the body from internally.
2. After breakfast, we have to wait 15- 20 min for a glass of water. Because it is not only helps in digestions also make you energetic for the whole day and same as after having lunch and dinner.
3. It is very important to drink water after having a shower because it will help to put your blood pressure normal.
Water has many medical qualities too. it is also beneficial in acne/pimples problem and having an adequate amount of water at the right time help to cure it.
It also helps in constipation, sweats etc. Hence everything has positive and negative impacts and it depends on us how we use/take it.
Moreover the best way to deal with water efficiency is to feel your body requirements and drink water whenever it ask for .
